Join Dementia Research

One of the big difficulties researchers face today is recruiting participants for their studies. At the same time, many people are looking for studies to contribute to and take part in, but don't know where to find out about them. Developed by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, Alzheimer's Research UK and Alzheimer's Society, 'Join dementia research' provides a service which allows people to register their interest in participating in dementia research and be matched to suitable studies in their local area, and across the nation.

MoDEM - Monitoring Of Dementia using Eye Movements

Lancaster University's MODEM project aims to develop eye trackers because there is evidence that eye movements are linked to cognitive health. These trackers can be used at home to spot some of the early signs of dementia – with the aim of reducing costs and the time that patients need to spend at a hospital.
